Your data, looked after.
A plain-English summary of what we collect when you book with Cloud Nine Playtime, how it's used, and the steps we take to keep it safe.
01
Who we are
This page is maintained by Cloud Nine Playtime, a soft play and bouncy castle hire business based in East Sussex. It explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you book with us, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it safe. It is editable site content rather than an independent certification.
02
Information we collect
When you make a booking we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address (street, city and postcode), event date and times, the package and options you've chosen, and any notes you add (such as a child's name or party theme). We only ask for what we need to deliver, set up and collect your hire.
03
How we use your information
Your details are used to confirm your booking, calculate any travel fee, get in touch about your event, deliver and collect equipment, send booking confirmations and reminders, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
04
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. We only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded and the last few digits/brand of the card for our records.
05
How your data is stored & protected
Booking information is stored in a managed, encrypted database. Connections to our site and database are protected with HTTPS/TLS in transit. Access to booking records is restricted to the business owner via password-protected admin tools — customers cannot view or change each other's bookings.
06
Emails we send
We send booking confirmations and operational emails (e.g. reminders, changes, refunds) from notify.cloudnineplaytime.co.uk. Every email includes an unsubscribe link for non-essential messages. Essential booking emails (confirmations, changes, refunds) are sent for as long as your booking is active.
07
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies needed to make the booking flow work (for example to keep your session active during checkout). We do not run advertising trackers. If we add analytics in future, we will update this page to describe what is collected.
08
Third parties we share with
We share the minimum information necessary with: Stripe (payment processing), our email delivery provider (to send your booking emails), and Google Maps (to estimate distance and travel fee from your postcode). Each of these processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
09
How long we keep your data
Booking records are kept while your booking is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle refunds, complaints, insurance and HMRC accounting requirements (typically up to 6 years for financial records). You can ask us to delete information sooner where we are not legally required to keep it.
10
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop sending non-essential emails. Contact us using the details on our Contact page and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
11
Children's information
Bookings are placed by adults. We may collect a child's first name and age if you choose to share it (for personalisation such as a balloon arch). We do not knowingly collect any other information directly from children.
12
Reporting a security concern
If you believe you've found a security or privacy issue with this site or with a booking, please contact us via the Contact page so we can look into it promptly. Please don't post details publicly until we've had a chance to address it.
13
Changes to this page
We may update this page from time to time as our setup changes. The latest version always lives at this URL — please check back here for the most up-to-date version.
